Inspired by Kevin Lynch's book by the same name, this forum addresses such questions as: "What does the city's form actually mean to the people who live there?" On a more mundane level, this is where we discuss the potential creation of a real city called "Daheshville." Historically, this forum began as a question posted randomly in the Members Only section. Before long, it evolved into a rich exchange of ideas which now merit their own forum.

In this forum we discuss past and coming events, good and bad news, thoughts and concerns, and just about any issue pertaining to the greater Daheshist community.

In this forum we discuss transcending the traditional model of a self-contained religious system that exists independently from the World. Why? Well, because we are part of this world and —surprise— to a large extend, we depend on it for our existence!

Thanks to Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol" there is a lot of "Buzz" about "Noetic Science." What better place to analyze the validity of this "Science" than right here — in Daheshville?

In this section proposed by Sael1, we explore the events, since Dr Dahesh arrived in America till now. "The emphasis being on the progress of the mission and what can we do to see it through. Never to blame but to do what we have to do and leave the rest to God."

It is no secret that Doctor Dahesh wrote strong words about WOMAN in his book "Kalimaat" ("Words") Yet, he willed his heritage (museum, manuscripts, and library) to a DAHESHIST WOMAN and her children. He also relied solely on Mrs. Marie Haddad, perhaps the greatest defendor of Dahesh and Daheshism during his perscection at the hand of Bechara El Khoury, the first president of Lebanon (See "Innocent in Chains, the Notes). In this forum we will discuss the role of WOMAN in Daheshism because we feel that it is vital for MAN and WOMAN to be equal partners in the evolution of our Daheshist faith.

So far, Daheshists have not yet created a legal entity that brings them all together under the banner of their faith. Will Daheshism ever evolve into an organized religion?

A good thing? A bad thing? All the above? None of Above? ... What's your opinion?

Many of Doctor Dahesh's stories talk about extra terrestrial beings visiting Planet Earth and interacting with its inhabitants. Anyone who has seen, or thinks he or she has seen an "U. F. O." please share your thoughts with us! We promise not to laugh behind your back (unless, of course, you decide to write a Hiku about it... Sorry, we simply don't GET Hikus!) .

In a perfect world, do you see yourself as a "religious" person, or as a "spiritual" person? Is there a difference?

If TRUTH is absolute then we should all think the same way, listen to the same type of music, and not dare engage in debate, hence democracy would no longer exist. On the other hand, if TRUTH is relative and open to interpretation, then chaos and anarchy are a potential (if not certain) threat. What do YOU think?

Two mutually exclusive concepts, yet YOU believe in them: How can we claim to have free will if we believe that our Creator knows what we are thinking BEFORE we think it? Having free will technically means we can SURPRISE the Creator. But that idea cannot be... Yet, we believe in free will...

Nowadays. we often see the term "Philosophy" associated with Daheshism. Why is that? Was the Beloved Guiding Prophet a philosopher or—as the title suggest—a prophet?
